Families and caregivers with exceptional children face some challenges that others might not. As an educator, it will be important to understand those challenges and empathize.

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

• What are some challenges families/caregivers could face when they have a child with a disability? How might these affect their day-to-day lives and family dynamics?
• How should educators take a student’s culture into account when working with them? What are some techniques to facilitate effective practices? Discuss your experiences working with students and families of diverse cultures and any specific challenges you may have encountered.
• What are some actionable steps that educators may take when they encounter students with disabilities and developmental delays who are also experiencing poverty, homeless, and/or abuse and neglect?
