In this discussion, you will have an opportunity to make connections between your prior knowledge and the new content you are learning this week. Use your results from this week’s Show What You Know diagnostic to provide context for your prior knowledge and consider the new content about probability to answer the following questions in a minimum of 175 words:

  • Rolling a pair of dice is an example of an independent event. Whatever number is rolled on the first dice does not change the outcome of value that is rolled the second dice that is rolled. Give another example of an independent event, and explain why it is an independent event.
