Answer one of the following two questions. Respond using a minimum of 300 words.

  1. Read Chapters 1 and 2 of our text. Watch the Author’s Corner: Financial Statements and Accuracy of Accounting videos. Select one of the ACCOUNTING topics presented with the material and explain it to the class. Provide examples to support your analysis.

  2. Review Apple, Microsoft, or Alphabet’s most recently published income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows. State which company you selected. Identify several accounts from the income statement, balance sheet and/or statement of cash flows. Explain the accounting information to the class. What types of business transactions may impact the accounts identified? Identify a subject in chapters 1 or 2 and discuss how this applies to the company.
