Adolescence is the transition from childhood to adulthood and may be a tumultuous experience for some students. The biological, psycho-social, and social aspects of adolescent development can be difficult enough for students and families to navigate; however; adolescents spend a great deal of time with their peers and at schools as well. Consider the physical, cognitive, and emotional/social development changes that adolescents experience. How does this influence the structure of intermediate, middle, and high schools? Explain and provide specific examples to support your answer.
