Research culture-bound syndromes.

 

Imagine your team has been asked to create an educational brochure on culture-bound syndromes for a class on multicultural competencies for new Department of Corrections Human Services professionals. REMEMBER this is your audience!

 

Create a 6-panel brochure describing at least 2 culture-bound syndromes. Include the following:

  • A brief description of each syndrome

  • Symptoms of each syndrome

  • Strategies for assessment of people with a culture-bound syndrome

  • Recommendations for personnel in dealing with these specific culture-bound syndromes

 

Include a minimum of three sources.
