During this last week of EED/430, the focus of your learning is on instructional strategies and methods for assessing student learning. Current events are often utilized when teaching social studies concepts.

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

  • What is the value of including current events and/or social problems in elementary social studies education?
