Research a mutual fund family such as Vanguard, American Funds, T. Rowe Price, and so forth.

Identify one mutual fund from that family for each of the following categories:

• Actively managed common stock fund.
• Fixed income fund.
• Balanced fund.
• International fund.
• Fund devoted to retirement investing.

Write a 700- to 1000-word paper including an evaluation for each mutual fund using attached checklist. Do not submit this checklist with your assignment, but use it as a guide in evaluating the characteristics of each fund, selecting those features you find most salient to discuss in your paper.

Include the following in your evaluation:

• Analysis of the characteristics of each fund.
• Recommendation of the type of investor to which each fund is suited.

Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines. Use a separate section APA lvl 1 header for each of the mutual funds, and APA lvl 2 headers for items under each. Recommendation of the type of investor to which each fund is suited must have its own APA lvl 2 header. Points are deducted for not using these headers.
