ACC 300 Week 5 IFRS Presentation

Prepare a 10- to 12- slide presentation. Assume the role of an employee presenting to your company president.

• Explain IFRS versus GAAP. Include a clear description of the changes in financial principles and reporting between the two.
• Explain the two terms, “more principle based” and “rules based”and provide examples for each.
• Define the expected future direction for IFRS in regard to financial report format and the benefits of the change.
• Identify areas that you do not expect to have changed in GAAP.
• Articulate your opinion on SOX’s role for non-U.S. registered corporations.
