In Week Four we assess Muscle, Muscle Tissue, and the Muscular System. We look at the three types of muscular to include their structural differences, functions, and special properties. We also explore the relationship between bones and skeletal muscles for the production of body movements. Bottom line: we use muscles at all times.

Consider the reading and activities that you have completed this week.

Based on this week’s readings, what special properties of muscular tissue did you find personally fascinating? Why? If someone came to you and asked for suggestions on how to improve their ability to produce body movements, what suggestions would you give them and why?
