In Week Three we assess Identifying Insects Using Taxonomic Keys. We begin by analyzing those embryological features and development patterns that are relevant to identifying adult insects. We also learn to identify adult insects using either a taxonomic or dichotomous key. When done, students will be able to explain how to use a taxonomic or dichotomous key to identify insect orders.
