What is an Operating System?

Why is software licensing important to organizations?

One of the toughest decisions for IT departments to perform is to decide if they will develop (build) or purchase software. Software vendors have developed methods of marketing their products such that it may appear that a company will be allocating resources properly toward a particular software package.  If the company is not clear on its expectations and how they intend to establish, maintain and then run the software, the end-users may find themselves dissatisfied and with a system that is useless at worst and one with problems at best.  Another issue is the end-users who will be using the software.

End-users can be difficult to entirely satisfy, especially when specifications are not clearly defined or have not been verified and agreed upon in advance. Once we know and agree upon the final technical specifications we encounter the challenges of final selection based on initial and subsequent costs and other factors.

When writing a paper here is the formula I use. What do I mean by formula? Just that you follow a step-by-step process. Here is an example: Figuring out what you are going to write about; brainstorming and background reading; developing a thesis; creating a first draft; and refining the draft.

As you write be sure to pay attention to the details. Some of those important details include:

1) Grammar;

2) Spelling;

3) Punctuation;

4) Structure;

5) Word usage; and

6) Syntax and semantics.

Step one: Prewriting is your draft of thoughts. It is the step where you assemble and organize your ideas so will understand what you are going to write about.

Step two: Create a tentative thesis statement and topic sentences.

Step Three: Do your research and collect supporting information.

Step Four: Write your paper:

Introductory paragraph. A typical Introduction consists of three parts:

• Motivator – the hook sentence that attracts the reader
• Thesis – a sentence that states your main idea or belief, which you are to prove and support when writing your essay.
• Blueprint – a quick review of what you are going to talk about.

Supporting paragraphs. Supporting paragraphs provide facts that prove your thesis.

• Topic sentence – the one that tells the readers what the paragraph is about. It also has to correspond to your thesis.
• Supporting sentence. It provides your topic sentence with background support. By doing so, your entire paragraph unfolds and strengthens your essay paper thesis.
• Concluding statement. The one that signalizes that this paragraph is over. Even though concluding statement summarizes the point, you need to give your reader a smooth shift from one part to another. That’s why paragraph writing has to be wrapped up with a transition sentence – the one that softly introduces a new sub-topic.

Conclusion. A summary of what you have already done. Good essay writing always gives a reader something to think about.

Step Five: Formatting, title page, and references page.

Step Six: Spell-check, proofread, correct and finalize.
