This is the Discussion Question thread where you will earn your participation for the week. Topic 6: Consequences of Technology

As you well know, there have been mostly positive consequences resulting from technology – mainly increased convenience and efficiency in our lives and giving us options in life that were not previously possible. There have been some negative consequences like loss of jobs, the possibility of identity theft, etc.

* What are some positive consequences of Technology that have impacted your life or the life of someone you know?

Topic 7: Technology and Life Management

Most (if not all) of you are in the situation of having to balance stressful jobs and/or demanding personal lives with the challenges of being a UOP student. This thread is to give you an opportunity to share with your peers, ways in which you try to balance work, family, and school.

* What are some life-management things that you do to increase your free time and to achieve more balance in your work/family/student life?

Topic 8: Technology and People Management

The growth of technology has unfortunately resulted in more issues that management has to worry about. The issues are (1) people either abusing company resources on company time for personal reasons and (2) people spending excessive time on their own personal devices on company time. The activities can include playing video games, browsing non-work-related websites, watching videos, texting and talking to friends and family, etc.
