Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper in which you discuss a specific act of terrorism from a prior, large-scale, current event incident. Address the following in your paper:

• Provide an overview of the incident.
• Discuss the efforts made by the United States to combat this terrorism.
• Outline underlying factors or history involving this terrorism and related violence.
• Discuss how terrorists seek their victims.
• Discuss the goals of terrorist violence.  Was the act intended to coerce a government, the civilian population or a segment thereof in furtherance of political or social objectives?
• Discuss current and future practices in response to terrorism and related violence.
• Include information you shared in the Collaborative Group Discussion.
