CMGT 433 Wk 1 – Security Overview Presentation

In your new role as your company’s cyber security expert, you have been assigned by your company to provide some help with improving the company’s overall security, In your first meeting with the senior executives, you will have to present a security overview to help them understand the magnitude of the problems they will need to address. Use your own organization or an organization that you are familiar with for this and the other assignments during this course. Think about how the industry and the size of the organization is going to affect your responses.

Create a 8-10 slide, multimedia-rich presentation in which you discuss:

• A chart showing 4 methods for identifying threats and vulnerabilities that could be used to determine the organization’s current security environment, the impact of the strategy, and resources (personnel, finances, etc.).
• Once you have identified the areas of concern in your organization, propose 3 key security projects the company will need to do to address those threats; include graphics and a brief explanation of each of the projects and why they are important to the overall security of the organization.
• An explanation of why creating a set of projects with defined milestones is important for improving security for the organization’s current and future environment

Your presentation should also include:

• Extensive speaker notes, as I will need to understand what you would say.
• At least 2 references to support the presented facts/etc. Format your citations according to APA guidelines.
