Resource: Ch. 1, “Managing in the Digital World,” of Information Systems Today: Managing the Digital World discusses five IT megatrends.

Initial Response (Due Thursday): This week our focus is the five megatrends – mobile, social media, internet of things, cloud computing, and big data. Your initial response must be a minimum of 175 words and address the following:

• Select the megatrend that you feel is most influential in business today
• Describe what the megatrend is,
• Describe how the megatrend is used (give some practical, real-world examples), and
• Defend why the megatrend is the most influential.

• As a manager, you are responsible for setting the policy related to provisioning of access. What is your policy for access to big data?
