ECH 211 Wk 5 – Teacher Interview and Observation on Lesson-Plan Implementation Observation

Observation is an important component of learning to teach. Much of what a beginning teacher needs to be aware of cannot be taught just by physically sitting in a classroom or by completing an online course. There is a great deal to be learned by watching someone do what you are learning in this program.

This 3-part assignment provides an opportunity to interview a teacher about lesson planning, observe the same teacher teaching a lesson, and reflect on the experience.

Prior to this assignment, identify 1 early childhood (i.e., K–3) teacher to:

  • Interview about lesson-plan development
  • Observe delivering a lesson plan in an early childhood education setting

Use the Teacher Interview and Observations Questions document for Parts 1 and 2 of this assignment.

Part 1: Teacher Lesson-Plan Development Interview

Use “Part 1: Teacher Lesson-Plan Development Interview Questions” of the Teacher Interview and Observation Questions document to guide your interview.

Part 2: Teacher Lesson-Plan Implementation Observation
