ECH 301 Week 1 Observation Acknowledgement Form

Complete the Observation Acknowledgement.

PLEASE NOTE- by completing this acknowledgement you are stating that you are aware that this course requires two observations.  These observations should be scheduled as soon as possible. Each observation will take between an hour and hour and a half.  They will be used to complete the paper posted in week five.  Please look over the assignment.  When observing you will need to gather information on all the listed items needed to complete the assignment.  Some students find it helpful to also speak with the teacher in person, over the phone and/or through email in the event you do not observe some of the required components.

 

ECH 301 Week 2 Seventeen Competencies

Complete Figure 1.6, “Seventeen Competencies for Becoming a Professional: A Professional Development Checklist,” in Ch. 1 of Fundamentals of Early Childhood Education.  (This is often confusing for students.  The standards are listed on the first page and the chart is the second page.  Picture it as if you had a real text book in front of you.  Utlize the standards on the first page to complete the chart on the second page).

Share a copy of your results with your learning team members. 

Review each other’s results, and compile one team chart.  This should contain all team members input..

Conduct observations of two early childhood education programs according to the following requirements:
