• What is the purpose of state and national standards in science education?
• Are there any differences between the national standards and your state’s standards?
• Why are standards important for you as a teacher to follow? Why are standards important for the learner?
• Why is it important to have standards laid out in a comprehensive trajectory format from kindergarten through Grade 12? Explain and provide specific examples to support your response.
