Reflect on topics you reviewed in the Opposing Viewpoints in Context database in this week’s “Explore Possible Topics” Learning Activity.

APA Reference and Citation Worksheet
Use the Center for Writing Excellence’s Reference and Citation Generator (https://ecampus.phoenix.edu/secure/aapd/cwe/citation_generator/), located under the APA Information heading in the CWE’s Tutorials and Guides section, to generate references and citations for two articles from the University of Phoenix library.
You can use the two library sources that you chose for the Week 2 assignment if you still plan to use them in your final paper, or you can select two new sources that you have found in the library to use instead.

ENG 147 Week 5 Body Paragraph Draft

Review instructor feedback from your previous week’s assignment.
Use the APA Body Paragraph Template, located to your right under the Materials heading, to draft the body paragraphs for your final essay, due in Week 7.
You do not need to include the introduction and conclusion paragraphs this week, as you will be working on those next week.
Write at least one paragraph for each one of the three supporting points of your thesis statement. Each paragraph should be 5 to 7 sentences long and begin with a topic sentence and include at least two additional details to support the topic.
Include at least one paraphrase and one quotation from your research sources using the techniques covered in this week’s materials. Include an APA in-text citation after each quotation and paraphrase.
Add your sources to the Reference list at the end of the paper. If you are using the same sources, you can paste the references that you generated for your Week 4 assignment.
Refer to the Paragraph Checklist (also attached under the Materials heading to your right) to review necessary items and make any needed revisions.
Submit your paper to the Plagiarism Checker in the University of Phoenix Center for Writing Excellence. Take a screenshot or download a copy of your results.

Remember: Your introduction should include a hook to capture the attention of your audience and the last sentence of your introductory paragraph must be your thesis statement.
- Draft a conclusion for your essay based on the best practices you studied this week. Your paragraph should be 5 to 7 sentences.
- How will you use the feedback you received on your Week 5 body paragraph draft assignment to revise your paper as you get ready for your final submission in Week 7? If you did not submit your Week 5 assignment, summarize one goal you have for revising your paper in Week 7. Explain in 2 or 3 sentences.
ENG 147 Week 7 Final Essay
Instructions
Review all previous weeks’ essay assignments and instructor feedback.
Review sections 17c and 17d from Ch. 17 of The Bedford Researcher for editing tips.
Write a 700- to 1,050-word essay (not counting title or reference page material) about the topic of your choice. Incorporate at least two research sources.
Use the APA Final Paper Template (located under the Materials heading to your right) to help format your final paper in APA format. You will combine your body paragraphs, introduction, conclusion, and references into the provided template.
The final essay must contain the following:
- APA title page
- An introductory paragraph
- Three to four main body paragraphs
- A conclusion paragraph
- At least one direct quote of fewer than 30 words
- At least one paraphrased source
- APA reference page at the end of the paper including at least two sources
Submit your paper to the WritePoint® Powered by Grammarly® tool in the Center for Writing Excellence and take a screenshot or download a copy of your results. Use the results to help you edit your paper.
