In Week One of ENG/313, we explore how introductions and conclusions frame and set a context for the body of a proposal. We also discuss the purpose of the proposal as well as the variables that need to be considered in order to write a proposal that meets the needs of its target audience.

In Chapter 7 of Writing Proposals, we learned about the introductions and conclusions of proposals. In a proposal, what is the purpose of the introduction? What is the purpose of the conclusion? How do they work together to frame the body of a proposal? What are the six moves included in an introduction? How do they each ensure that the proposal meets the needs of its target audience?
