In Week One, we discussed introductions and conclusions as well as the purpose of a proposal and the variables to consider to ensure that the proposal meets the needs of the target audience. In Week Two, we move on to proposal presentations. Our focus this week will be on the importance of design in a proposal presentation, the four principles of design, and the use of appropriate graphic elements, including charts, tables, and images in a proposal.

Chapter 10 of Writing Proposals discusses the design of presentations. Why is the design of a proposal presentation important? How can the design of a presentation affect readers both positively and negatively? There are four principles of design. What are those design principles? How do they each contribute to a well-designed presentation? In your experience, what have been the crucial elements of a successful presentation?
