HCS 341 Week 3 Job Description Matrix

First part of the assignment: Create a matrix (the matrix is already done for you – just use my example)  identifying internal and external recruitment sources and methods as part of workforce planning needs; for example, such sources might include job fairs or advertisements.

Include the following in the matrix:

• Five recruitment sources (The sources are in our text book)
• Identify if it is an internal or external source
• A detailed 200-word description of the source and why it is appropriate for health care

Second part of the assignment: Create a graphic image identifying the different components of the selection process between, job analysis, job description, and job specification. Examples of a graphic image are flowcharts and graphs. (An example has been posted for you)

Third part of the assignment: Provide a detailed 200-word description of job analysis, a detailed 200-word description of job description, and a detailed 200-word description of job specification.

Hint: You will not receive credit for a definition. I need to know that you understand the material.

Additonal Team Instructions: 

This is for a 4-member team…

1. Each team member will do 1 source of recruiting and determine if it is internal or external, than write a detailed 200-word description of the source and why it is appropriate for health care (Do not forget to provide this, I will deduct points if incomplete)
2. Than you will split up the rest as follows:

Team member 1 – 200 word description of job analysis

Team member 2 – 200 word description job description

Team member 3 – 200 word description job specification

Team member 4 – 1 more source with 200-word description of the source and why it is appropriate for health care

This is for a 5-member team…

2. Than you will split up the rest as follows:

Team member 1 – 200 word description of job analysis

Team member 2 – 200 word description job description

Team member 3 – 200 word description job specification

Team member 4 – Graphic image

Team member 5 – Review the WritePoint report, and correct the report

Also, make sure you put your name next to your appropriate part of this assignment on the matrix template I posted for you. For example, if you did “Job Analysis” it should look like this…Job Analysis (Jane Doe)…and so on throughout the entire assignment.
