Create a Career Plan for yourself.

Using the Career Plan Model attached develop your own career plan by addressing the instructions below.

• Why is it important to have a career plan
• Start by identifying your ultimate career goal (your dream job) which should be a stretch goal
• Determine what knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA’s) you will need to achieve this career goal
• Identify the KSA’s you already have developed that are needed
• The difference between what is needed and what yu already have are development gaps.
• Develop detailed action plans that you will get you from where you are to where you want to be. One set of plans should be to close the development gaps. The other plans shoud be actions you will take to porepare for the career goal.
