Review major policies and programs. You can utilize the Legislative Review web links in Week One to conduct internet research.

Consider the following public assistance programs: TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Public Housing, and Free/Reduced School Lunch, Vocational Rehabilitation, The Americans with Disabilities Act, The Older Americans Act, Medicaid, Medicare, Gay Rights Legislation, Minimum Wage Legislation, Affirmative Action and No Child Left Behind Act.

Note. It is impossible to capture all the complexities of social welfare in a single list. There are benefits, policies and programs that may not have been captured. You may find something of additional interest to report.
