Consider the following public assistance programs: TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Public Housing, and Free/Reduced School Lunch, Vocational Rehabilitation, The Americans with Disabilities Act, The Older Americans Act, Medicaid, Medicare, Gay Rights Legislation, Minimum Wage Legislation, Affirmative Action and No Child Left Behind Act.

Note. It is impossible to capture all the complexities of social welfare in a single list. There are benefits, policies and programs that may not have been captured. You may find something of additional interest to report.

Create a 6- to 10-slide PowerPoint Presentation giving a brief history of each of the programs listed above.

Be sure to include eligibility requirements, and a brief timeline on when the program was instituted with dates of significant program revisions.
