Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper that summarizes the identified need for the scenario you chose from Appendix A. Include the following:

• The population served
• The specific need of this population
• How the need negatively effects the population served or the community
• Cite 3 to 5 peer-reviewed sources to support your ideas.

  • For example, if your target population are teenage mothers, and the need is their lack of education after pregnancy, you will research the data on the numbers of teenage mothers, effects on school attendance, and how this affects them and the community.

• How you plan to address the need: For example, with grant money, your agency will offer GED preparation classes, day care, and parenting/life skills courses.
• The potential effects if the need is addressed:

  • For example, what is the potential effect on the teenage mothers who will participate in your grant-funded program? Include comments regarding future employment, housing stability as result of earning a living wage, and improved parenting skills.
