Refer to pp. 7–16 in Ch. 1 of Theories of Personality and the “Limits of Scientific Psychology” video below as you complete this discussion.

Ch. 1 of your textbook, Theories of Personality, explains how you can tell whether a scientific theory is useful, and the video of Nick Brown provides several reasons to support his claim that there are limits to the scientific study of psychology. Despite these known limits, studying theories can be useful in other ways, such as leading to further research that can give us insight into our personalities and behaviors.

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

  • What could researchers do differently to make sure that psychological studies better represent you and the entire population?

  • What do you consider to be the key traits and characteristics of your personality? Would Jung describe your attitude as more introverted or extraverted? What combinations of behavior patterns are unique to you?
