Participation Guidelines and Grading Policies:

Post a total of 3 substantive responses over 2 separate days for full participation. This includes your initial post and 2 replies to other students. 5 points will be deducted if you do not meet the minimum 2 day participation requirement.

Your initial post is worth 20 points this week. Each required reply is worth 5 points. No points will be awarded for additional posts beyond these requirements.

Remember that there is an 8 hour grace period for submitting your initial post each week. You also have a grace period for submitting your required replies. 5 points will be deducted for any posts made after the 8-hour grace period.

At your instructor’s discretion, additional points may be deducted from your initial post and/or your required replies for not meeting the minimum word requirement, not meeting content requirements (see below), and/or frequent grammar and vocabulary errors that severely impede communication.

Use the following verbs in your descriptions/sentences:

Think about the following questions when you are describing your house:

  • Where is your house located?
  • What does your house look like from the outside?
  • How many bedrooms and bathrooms are in your house?
  • What does each room look like?
  • What is the function of each room? What do you do there?
  • What do you like the most about your home?

2 Required Replies: Due by Monday

Exchange questions and answers with at least two of your classmates to gain practice and confidence in written and conversational Spanish. These posts should be in Spanish only and a minimum of 50 words.
