A communications professional in the public sector must understand the types of social media available and how they impact their organization and the audiences. Understanding how to write for the social media platforms will make the communications person more marketable.

Using the press event you created in Week 5, create a social media plan in 350 to 1,050 words. Include the following in your social media plan:

• 2 types of social media you would use for the event
• Why you selected those social media platforms
• How those social media platforms would connect with your target audiences
• 2 written examples of what you would post for each type of social media

Also, choose 1 of the ways to communicate to employees of your organization. Explain why you chose that internal communication mode and write an invitation to employees to your event using that form of communication.
