In order to improve upon a skill, it takes constant practice and feedback. This assignment allows you to demonstrate the skills you have practiced this week with your partner and will provide you with feedback on your strengths and areas for improvement, which you can incorporate into future assignments.

Choose a classmate as your partner for this assignment (if you haven’t already). You each will take turns playing the role of counselor and client.

Review the role play instructions for tips on using Bongo.

Create a 10-minute video using Bongo to demonstrate basic interviewing and attending skills.

Document the time of your role-play as a counselor, noting which basic attending skills are being used at each point in your demonstration. Also note specific areas in the video where you are building rapport with your client.

Submit the video of your role-play in Bongo.
