ECH 301 Week 4 Personal Philosophy of Education
Reflect on your personal philosophy of early childhood education. Your philosophy is based on your thoughts and beliefs about children, teaching, and learning. A personal philosophy guides a teacher’s practices and interactions with children. When you have a clear definition of your own philosophy, you can help children to learn and develop to their fullest potential.
Brainstorm by reflecting on the following questions:
- What is early childhood education?
- What is the purpose of early childhood education?
- How do children develop?
- How do children learn?
- Who is responsible for educating young children?
