EED 420 Week 5  Team – 6E Lesson Plan

Design a 6E lesson plan using the feedback that you received from your Integrated Engineering Lesson Presentation in Week 4. When possible, integrate engineering and technology.

Structure the lesson using the 6E Model or the Engineering Design Process Model.

If you use the 6E Model, include information about what will happen during each phase:

  • Engage
  • Explore
  • Explain
  • Engineer
  • Enrich
  • Evaluate

If you use the Engineering Design Process Model, include information about what will happen during each phase:

  • Ask – What is the problem?
  • Gather Information – What has been done to solve the problem? What science concepts are in effect here?
  • Imagine – What are the constraints and criteria? What are many ideas that could solve this problem? (Brainstorm as many ideas as possible that could solve this problem.)
  • Plan – Select a best design that meets the constraints and criteria. Gather necessary materials and draw models.
  • Create – Make the prototype and test it.
  • Improve – Based on the test results, modify the design and test it; repeat as needed.
  • Communicate – Present your process and final product.

Explain how technology will be incorporated into your lesson and how it will enhance learning.

Submit your lesson plan.
