Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

This is the final week of the class, and you have been introduced to a variety of personality theories. Thank you for working hard and engaging in these discussions. As we conclude the course, this week focuses on the humanistic perspective of personality, with special focus on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Maslow’s theory focuses on a unique perspective of personality and is based on motivation.

Take a moment to refresh your understanding of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.

• Maslow’s pyramid consists of five needs. Which of those do you think it most important to the overall well-being of an individual? What is the difference between a need and a want? Please share an example. Finally, how would you explain self-actualization? Do you think every individual is able to reach self-actualization? Why or why not?
